Description

This magnificently well-aged single malt from the Dalmore distillery is an assemblage of whiskies from some of its most exceptional casks. Bottled up at 45 years old, a combo of bourbon and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels alongside 20-year-old and vintage Tawny Port casks has imparted a wealth of honeyed figs, roasted coffee, banana, and tangy berries.

Expect bold and complex notes of fig, rich molasses and Seville orange on the nose which leads into a palate of Manuka honey, cranberries, and dark chocolate

A rush of freshly roasted coffee beans envelopes the nose, before a rich palate full of succulent figs, toffee apple and ripe banana. The finish brings marmalade and honey, with a whisper of cranberry that closes this magnificent dram.

OUR ROYAL HERITAGE
The gift of a King, the 12-point Royal Stag proudly adorns each bottle of The Dalmore. It encapsulates the distillery’s regal legacy, dating back to 1263. The emblem was bestowed upon Colin of Kintail, the first chieftain of Clan Mackenzie, after he saved the life of King Alexander III of Scotland from the fury of a charging stag. In 1839, the Dalmore distillery was founded by Alexander Matheson, a merchant adventurer determined to create an exceptional single malt whisky. In 1867, descendants of Clan Mackenzie took control of the distillery. One of their first changes was to adorn every bottle of The Dalmore with the stag – a guarantee of peerless quality.
