Description

The Dalmore 2009 15 Year Old is a limited annual vintage release that highlights the distillery’s signature Highland richness and refined cask management. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2024 after 15 years of maturation, this expression reflects balance, depth, and elegance.
Matured initially in American white oak ex bourbon casks, the whisky is then finished in a carefully selected combination of sherry casks. This layered maturation enhances sweetness, structure, and complexity while preserving The Dalmore’s distinctive house character.

Nose: Orange zest, vanilla pod, milk chocolate, and soft oak.
Palate: Rich toffee, honeyed malt, dark fruit, and gentle spice.
Finish: Long and smooth with lingering chocolate, dried fruit, and warming spice.

Smooth and rounded from the first sip, with bright citrus sweetness followed by soft chocolate and toffee. As it develops, richer fruit and gentle spice come through, leading to a polished, warming finish. A refined Highland whisky that feels mature, balanced, and easy to enjoy.

OUR ROYAL HERITAGE
The gift of a King, the 12-point Royal Stag proudly adorns each bottle of The Dalmore. It encapsulates the distillery’s regal legacy, dating back to 1263. The emblem was bestowed upon Colin of Kintail, the first chieftain of Clan Mackenzie, after he saved the life of King Alexander III of Scotland from the fury of a charging stag. In 1839, the Dalmore distillery was founded by Alexander Matheson, a merchant adventurer determined to create an exceptional single malt whisky. In 1867, descendants of Clan Mackenzie took control of the distillery. One of their first changes was to adorn every bottle of The Dalmore with the stag – a guarantee of peerless quality.
