High-quality Dominican rum from the Brugal range, which is double distilled then matured in American oak barrels. After a lengthy maturation in the aforementioned barrels, the rum then enjoys a second maturation in Spanish oak sherry casks, helping to accentuate the rich fruity sweetness of the spirit.

Brugal 1888 Doblemente Añejado is a truly exceptional rum, crafted in the Dominican Republic, and combining the rich flavours of bourbon and sherry casks through a double-ageing process.
With notes of vanilla, red fruits and toffee intertwined with cocoa and natural oak spice Brugal 1888 is a wonderfully inviting spirit that is smooth, full of flavour and perfectly balanced.
Color: A deep amber colour with rich red undertone. Clear and bright.
Palate: Well rounded and smooth with body and character. Perceived sweetness of toffee and vanilla balanced with peach, cocoa and cloves.
Nose: The sophisticated sweetness of red and dried fruits, raisins and dates, complement a spicy woodiness, with hints of cinnamon.
Remarkably long-lasting and elegant, with a hint of honey.

Born in Spain, our founder Don Andres Brugal was ambitious and adventurous, drawn to the possibilities of the Dominican Republic to realise his full potential. There he found all the right elements to make superior rum, and saw the potential to connect the different parts of the rum-making process in his own unique way to unlock a new deeper, smoother rum with the power to bring people together. In 1888 Brugal was born and from that day forward, we have continued to bring out the best of our cask aged Dominican rum.
